Thankfulness/Gratefulness
As it is almost my FAVORITE holiday, (Valentines Day takes 2nd place and Christmas is 3rd, in case anyone was wondering), I thought now was the perfect time to really take a moment to express my thankfulness and gratefulness for all that I have in life. Sometimes when things are difficult, it's important to pause and take an inventory of our blessings...it can really be an uplifter. So here we go. In no particular order other than where pictures were on my hard drive. Click on through.

1) My amazing husband - Frank has known me since I was 14, we started dating when we were 17, and he is just totally my hero. I am grateful we have such an amazing marriage and that he supports everything I do so fully. Not many husbands would be thrilled about the amount of time dance/writing commands, but he hardly ever complains and is just beyond amazing. He even surprised me and flew back early from a business trip in South America last Christmas to see the children's holiday show I directed. He is beyond supportive, beyond loving, and beyond amazing.

2) World's most incredible friends - Elisa has been my best friend since the very first day of high school, and I miss her so much when we have I-80 totally rifting between us. Fortunately Disneyland, random shopping trips, and way too much myspace has always kept us close. I just adore her for having such an independent spirit and for meeting me halfway between Sac and the Bay so often. She is the absolute best and I love her!!!.... Myriah is one I can always laugh with no matter what. We have impressive photo documentation of us wreaking havoc upon society including exotic places like the underwear aisle of Wal-Mart and the Capitol Park fountain...I love that she caught my Mongolain BBQ addiction and that I laugh harder with her than any of my other friends. She married Greg too...so...bonus!!! .Kelly is one of the most loyal friends a girl could ever ask for, and she has made church and dance such a special thing for Frank & I. She also loves Panda Express, which gives her the ultimate batch of bonus points right there. Kelly is phenomenal and i LOVED going to the Caribbean with her this past summer!!!....Nichole, my Wednesday night lover, is one of my favorite people. She is so funny and was profusely helpful with getting our new house done (especially with one particular bookshelf! haha), and she is there for me whenever I need her. I love our Wed nite dates and all the other times I get to hang out with her too! She just radiates God's joy, and in a world where so many people focus on the negative, that is a huge blessing to be around! Oh, she got me hopelessly addicted to The Office too. I am working on forgiving her for that!...Katie has prayed with me every week for the past 6 years. I love our marathon phone calls that have outlived her moving to Boston and back, me moving to Sacramento and staying, both of us getting married, etc. etc. She is always there. And she knows every single thing there is to know about me. Scary.....Mindy is just a wonderfully consistent friend who always makes me smile. I know she'll always be there for me and I get so happy whenever I get to see her! She is just an incredible woman to know and I am so sad every time I drive past Pancake Circus and she isn't with me!!!!!...Connie is the most faithful friend in the universe. I've said it before and I'll say it again - if I were to relocate to Antarctica, she would still keep in touch with me! I've known her since I was 11, and even though I don't get to see her nearly often enough, I just adore her. Oh, and her son Logan is the cutest little hunk the toddler world has ever seen! Okay Con, I am going to make a lot more time in 2008 to see you...screw work and dance commitments ;)....I could go on and on about a lot more ladies, I feel so blessed to know all my friends!

3) My sisters- Rebecca...I asked for a little sister for Christmas every single year, and when I was nine I finally got one. I have been so honored to see Becky grow up to be the most amazing, (and amazingly stubborn), woman. She makes me proud, we have so much fun when we are both home...and now she is living up at college in Santa Cruz, so those times are even more precious. Karen....even though she showed some incredibly embarrassing adolescent snapshots of me at her wedding slideshow a few weeks ago, I have felt SO grateful to have inherited a big sister through marriage. She is a great sister to Frank and I, and I love spending time with her. So glad we live in the same city now!!!

4) My dancers - Brandi, Kelly, Maureen, Beverly, Diana V., Diana R., Jasmine, Jessica, Courtney, Tamany, Holly, Haley, Amanda, Amy, Amber, Hannah H., Hannah M., McKenna, Anna, Julie, Mia, Matthew, Katelyn, Shannon, Morgan, Bronte, Abbie, Kymberly, Bella, and all the rest I am forgetting. I love you. You're my heart. You have made 2007 what it is, and you all work so hard. I am so honored to know you, so humbled to be your teacher, and just wish you all the best in 2008 and that God will bring you his most beautiful blessings and that both Blue Sky Savior and Snow White rocks!!!!

5) Those two I wish I still danced with - Deb & Mike...every single rehearsal, every single show, I think of you! You two are my heroes and inspiration and I only hope to be as excellent in dance as you are someday. I love you both SO much, I miss dancing in the bay area so much, and Deb...I can't wait for New York!!!!

6) My parents - my mom has a seemingly endless supply of compassion and patience, and my dad has always made life beyond interesting. I love they have been married for almost 30 years and my dad still cops a feel in the kitchen. I've been blessed to have a stable marriage as a role model to me when I was little and now that I am married myself. For better or for worse...and my mom has put up with a lot of worse...thanks for showing me what wedding vows truly stand for.

7) World's cutest dog - Scarlett is the best dog. Everyone says so. And she needs to lose 8 pounds in 2008. Get ready for early morning runs, beagle. They are in your near future.

8) Disneyland - it is totally my therapy, I love it there. And while we never moved down to the O.C. as planned, Frank got us season passes for this past year as a consolation prize. I love So. Cal and am grateful for every chance I get to go down there, and not just for the mouse. Though that is a big part I admit...

9)Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea bubble bath - Oh man I love bubble baths. Especially ones that make me smell good. This stuff totally relaxes me and the stuff is pink! Doesn't get much better than that!

10) Jesus! - okay so perhaps I should have rearranged my photos enough that Jesus was placed ahead of my bubble bath and Disneyland, but like I said before, there is no ranking to this. My life has been forever changed by knowing Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. It has encouraged me, challenged me, stretched me, and rewarded me in countless ways. It is not always easy, and a lot of times no one understands it, but it has never been disproven to me that the message of Christ is valid and eternal. He's my everything, and I am so excited for next year and all it holds.
The rest of my thankfulness in a jumbled mess....
